…be more tolerant of plurality and to engage in moral debate with people from different backgrounds. Only when people are not too afraid to say that they think differently will democracy lead to an end which we want to see — self-transformation. In other words, what makes the democratic way of life so powerful and dynamic, is that it generates its own values.
