I think easing the suffering will.not rid us of any artistic capabilities, but the fact we have experienced it, will always inform our work. Btw, I love finding connection through art... Munch is my favourite painter ans I think about his art often, it comforts me thinking you do the same. However for mental.health, I'll take a British artist as an example because we are in the Salon. It Amy Whinehouse (who wrote splendidly through her darkness) managed and eased her suffering, maybe now we would have had a another decade of history making music... In my ideologically effed up world art comes first... but we can do it by experiencing such suffering in healthier ways...and still we'll be able to draw upon it
