Materials of an Everyday Life

Photo journey: From Docklands to Docklands

Docklands, Melbourne. All photos are by author.

The terrain from which stone is birthed is far. Transient, disperse between far distances and corners of memory. A daydream for sleepless nights. I like black and white because it’s inaccurate like those very memories where things I cannot photograph anymore reside.

Materials. Steele, bricks made of I’m not sure what. Lights faded into tones of grey. From Docklands to City, and sporadic and rare familiar trips to the suburbs, here are the materials and lights of my daily life.
