I think I did mean civilized lol, will edit. He did however paint others that were the girls he used, and married. One painting in particular comes to mind, it depicts his "wife", and she looks so...young. A little girl.

And agreed. It is difficult to draw the line...I try to form my opinions "case by case". Funny how Polanski won prizes the same year accusations came out... It's like, when money is involved, everything else it's not serious, just entertainment
