I sometimes also think: so what? What if we were able to reproduce pieces? Much like there are many artist who never so any glimpse of fame but they could replicate a Raffaello to the last stroke. It's not about complexity, though sometimes that can be a thing of beauty too. And i know that the art market unfortunately is a preferential game full of weird stuff, but, i think many would agree on the power of Rothko's work.
