Alan, I have to say...democratically (?), that I find this post unnecessary in its embellishment of the truth.
Starting from the fact that you did submit to a publication, which means that you know you willingly put your writing though a "submission" that will go to editors...now I know, it's not professional writing, but still... if you did not want any of the feedback...why submit instead of self-publishing? Just for the reach?
BUT most importantly, the editor who reviewed and commented on your story had the only intention of helping you, not to judge your intention. We try at RS to help writers convey their message in what we think its the best way for them and the pub (remember point 1).
No one banned you from the publication either. You are still a writer with us. And I do not remember there being an ultimatum at all (as I have read the comments when your story was still a draft with us).
