A Book-Shelf Interview (Shelf, Self, By Myself…I’m Not Good with Humour)
Shelf pleasure is important and beneficial to your health…Still not funny?
I promised myself I was only going to write well though-out pieces that really represent me and my journey as a self-taught writer. But really, what I am doing is just a game of tags with yesnodunno, who I know is referring to me in a story about books (and my supposed laziness).
And I know because I could literally see her type.
On top of that, there is the fact that I was scrolling through my past stories and a title caught my eye:
‘Book Day Q&A’, which in turn was a response to Sadie Seroxcat’s prompt:
What Are You Reading On World Book Day? | by Sadie Seroxcat | Counter Arts | Medium
On reading my own responses, I could not recognise myself in the style of writing, but also — I was strangely surprised — in the answers themselves.
But it was me of course, it was just a different me, a me in another state, the me of my year of ‘stress and frustration’ (see My Year of Stress and Frustration).
Thankfully, I am mostly in my reader (and villain) era lately, and I thought it was a good time to answer the prompt’s questions…
